GB2GGM is the special call sign that we use most years for the National Mills on the air weekend. The S.P.A.B. Mills section (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) run this event every year on or around the second weekend in May, and Denby Dale Radio Society are co-ordinating the radio side of this event. We activate the call at Gelligroes Mill Pontllanfraith near Blackwood with the kind permission of the mill owner Mr David Constable. All members are encouraged to help out at this event either to help setting the station up and or to operate this special call sign, recent years have turned out to be a great team event.
